About

I have essentially been riding since I was born. My mother rode throughout her pregnancy and once I was born she would ride me to sleep. I was given my first pony when I was 2 years old and I’ve ridden, broke and trained countless horses since. Growing up in rural Georgia I rode many disciples but dressage has always been my passion. I studied international business in college and successfully restructured and managed several small businesses. However my heart was always in horses. My foster father was an avid endurance rider he designed and manufactured endurance saddles so the horses comfort was instilled upon me from an early age. As an adult and struggling to find a proper saddle for my hard to fit Arab mare; I decided to follow his lead and start my second career as a saddle fitter.

I began my studies with Mike Scott’s Saddle Fitting Certification, Mike’s course is roughly 250 hours including over 30 hours of internships, and 30 hours of case studies. Followed by Dr. Deb Bennett Ph.D’s Equine Anatomy and Biomechanics and wet lab. I continued my education in Germany with Sommer Saddlery. and most recent in the United Kingdom with Master Saddler George MacEachran building my own saddle. I have had the pleasure of studying under several of the worlds best saddlers and I continue to educate myself at every opportunity.

I am an independent Saddle Fitter not simply a “Sales Rep”. I am trained and certified in saddle design, construction and repair, as well as equine anatomy and biomechanics. I have many years of successful experience with high quality English saddles. Being independent allows me to give an unbiased evaluation. I offer reflock and repair services on all brands of English saddles. Western saddles we will assess and develop a padding solution that will enhance the comfort and performance for horse and rider.

I provide mobile service throughout AL, TN and the FL panhandle. My workshop is located at our farm in Jacksonville, AL nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, we are half-way between Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia.
